Hanover and Varina are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Hanover Hawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Varina Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varina took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hanover, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Hanover didn't have too much trouble with Mechanicsville at home as they won 62-45.
Meanwhile, Varina's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 61-38 defeat at the hands of Henrico. Varina has struggled against Henrico recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Hanover now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Varina, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Hanover came out on top in a nail-biter against Varina in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 62-59. Will Hanover repeat their success, or does Varina have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
