League recap: Forest Hills stuns Penn Cambria in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Penn Cambria, who took down 162nd ranked Penn Cambria, 20-18. Joe Donoughe threw for 173 yards and one touchdown, ran for 33 yards and caught one passes for 16 yards in the win.

Bishop Guilfoyle was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Laurel Highlands. The Marauders vanquished Central Cambria 33-0 earlier in the week.

Lukas Kleinmeyer was the best wideout in the league this week as Westmont Hilltop lost to Richland. Kleinmeyer racked up six receptions for 124 yards. Colin Barron helped Westmont Hilltop's passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.

Tanner Solarczyk was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 323 yards on 20 carries as the Rams fell to the Rams. Matt Shaffer also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.

Luke Shertzer made the biggest impact on defense this week as Richland topped Westmont Hilltop. The 5-foot-10 senior pulled down one interception.

6-foot-1 quarterback Zaine Tomkowski of Bishop McCort is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1006. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Brandon Bailey's team's Solarczyk has rushed for 1114 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Flick. The Richland star has 26 catches for 509 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Panthers take on the Rams. At the moment, Penn Cambria is in sixth, while Richland is in first.

There should be lots of points scored when Ernie Fetzer's team and the Rams face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Panthers comes in having scored 194 this season, while Richland has scored 292. Penn Cambria scored 18 points last week as it fell to Forest Hills.

The Rangers moved up to 226 from 269 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Forest Hills was able to make the jump by beating the Panthers 20-18.
