Mobile Christian is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while Thomasville is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mobile Christian Leopards will take on the Thomasville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mobile Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matchups -- so hopefully Thomasville likes a good challenge.
Mobile Christian can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over Flomaton on the road. Given Mobile Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Flomaton is ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mobile Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was PJ Brown, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Brown really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Another player making a difference was Jason Todd, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Thomasville beat W.S. Neal 34-28 on Friday.
Their wins bumped Mobile Christian to 9-0 and Thomasville to 7-0.
Everything came up roses for Mobile Christian against Thomasville in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 34-7 win. Does Mobile Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thomasville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
