The St. Patrick Fighting Irish won against the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws last Thursday with 66 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. St. Patrick narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past St. Stanislaus 66-63. The victory was familiar territory for St. Patrick who now have three in a row.
Matt Krass continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of St. Patrick's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Triplett, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
St. Patrick pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for St. Stanislaus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Patrick will face off against West Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Marion has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for St. Stanislaus, they will head out on the road to challenge Tylertown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tylertown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 206 points over their last three games.
