The Dundee Vikings typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Madison Trojans proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 63-54. With that win, Madison brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
It was another big night for Antonio Nieto, who scored 29 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooks Horwath, who scored 12 points.
Madison's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Dundee, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will take on the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dundee, they will head out on the road to challenge the Redwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Vikings are ranked 87th).
