Isabella scaled the state rankings by moving to 279 from 314 this week, the biggest jump in 2A Region 5. The Mustangs climbed the ranks as a result of topping Central of Coosa County 35-6.
Isabella took down the Cougars 35-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Horseshoe Bend's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Major Abernathy threw for 50 yards and Jordan Funderburk had 23 yards receiving. On the ground Drew Hill contributed 158 yards. Mathan Colley helped Horseshoe Bend's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 10 yards.
