It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Plainfield Quakers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 73-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Plainfield found their leader in underclassman Berkeley Williams, who scored 29 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Plainfield's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Menser, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Plainfield and bumps their season record up to 16-7. As for Brownsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
Plainfield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Terre Haute North Vigo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Quakers are ranked 31st). Brownsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
