Volleyball Recap: Dollar Bay Triumphs

While Dollar Bay's victory against L'Anse wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bays won by a set and slipped past the Purple Hornets 1-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dollar Bay took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13.

Kiera Isaacson paced Dollar Bay's offense, picking up four kills. Isaacson got some help from Sylvie Kentala and her six assists.

Dollar Bay has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for L'Anse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Dollar Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Baraga on the 13th. As for L'Anse, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Chassell on the 13th.
