4A District 7 recap Sept. 26, 2012
North Broward Prep took down Barrington Christian Academy 22-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kevin Bush threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 29 yards in the win.
Inlet Grove made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,103 from 7,380. The advance stemmed from a 14-0 victory over Inlet Grove last week.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Semar Smith chipped in 102 yards. Chris Taylor helped North Broward Prep's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Jordan Schemm was the best wideout in 4A District 7 this week as North Broward Prep beat the falcon. Schemm racked up three receptions for 75 yards.
Deion Pierre made the biggest impact on defense this week as Somerset Academy lost to Mater Academy Charter. The 6-foot-2 strong safety pulled down one interception.
Thanks to the talents of Bush and Smith Rex Nottage's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Bush leads the league in passing with 463 yards, while Smith has rushed for 365 yards this season. The Panthers' Pierre leads the league in receiving yards with 199 on nine catches.
The Eagles featured an ironclad defense this week, and led the league in points allowed with 0.
