The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (First Academy is ranked 582nd, while Community Christian Academy is ranked 565th).
First Academy can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 55-51 W over St. Teresa's Catholic. That four points margin sets a new team best for First Academy this season.
First Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan James out in front who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points James has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rylan Peacock, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to St. Teresa's Catholic. Community Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kylin McDonald, who scored 37 points. Beau Moore was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
First Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Community Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
