The biggest upset of the week belonged to Norwell, who took down 27th ranked East Noble, 35-7. Piercen Harnish threw for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 96 yards during the win.
The Knights scaled the state rankings by moving to 164 from 205 this week, the biggest jump in Northeast Hoosier. Norwell climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Knights 35-7.
Harnish provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Jeff Miller's team bested East Noble. Harnish's favorite target this week was Reggie Hayes, who caught 4 passes for 109 yards.
Vance Shearer threw for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 16-29 with 1 interception.
Shearer put up the best numbers through the air as New Haven defeated Columbia City. Shearer's favorite target this week was Travis Crowe, who caught 9 passes for 85 yards.
The Bulldogs' Shearer and Jordan Hogue led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Shearer has thrown for 1,104 yards this season, while Hogue, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 29 catches for 575 yards. Drue Tranquill from Carroll leads the league in rushing with 710 yards.
The Chargers' offense has recorded 271 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Homestead has permitted only 86 on the year.
As it stands, the Spartans are in second, while Carroll is in fourth.
New Haven extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Eagles, 29-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the Jim Rowland's team.
