Basketball Game Preview: Logan Longhorns vs. Grady Bronchos

Logan has gone 10-0 against Grady recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Logan Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grady Bronchos at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Logan's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Grady has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Logan is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Texline on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Logan was beaten by Texline 91-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Longhorns came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in New Mexico, while the Tornadoes are ranked 310th in Texas).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Mason Wallin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Aydin Kotara was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Grady came up short against Gateway Christian on Tuesday and fell 54-45.

Logan will have to contain Jai Padilla as he made an impact in Grady's last game. He posted nine points.

Grady's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8. As for Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-2.

Logan took their win against Grady in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 74-50. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Grady's Zane Rush, who scored 23 points.
