Kearney was the  10-7 winner over Burke when they last played one another  back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Kearney Bearcats lost  12-5 to the Burke Bulldogs on Tuesday. Kearney has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Doll has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Doll was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Joseph Fischer, who  went 2-for-5 with two  triples, a  run,  and  an  RBI.  Gavin Slaby was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Kearney's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Burke, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-16 record  this season.
 Kearney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burke, they will be playing at home against Omaha North at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Omaha North is coming into the  contest with three straight  wins on the road,  so Burke will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
