The Lake Ridge Academy Royals suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2023 on Monday. They were outmatched by Mentor Christian on the road and fell 60-24. Lake Ridge Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-17.
Despite the loss, Lake Ridge Academy had strong showings from Lillian Shmois, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds, and Daniela Lopez, who scored five points.
This is the second loss in a row for Lake Ridge Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-14. As for Mentor Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Ridge Academy will take on First Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. First Baptist Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Mentor Christian, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Our Lady of the Elms at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Our Lady of the Elms focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday.
