The Southwood Knights fell victim to the Adams Central Flying Jets''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Flying Jets 48-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, Southwood couldn't push the score so high this time.
Griffin Chambers threw for 41 yards on nine of 13 attempts. On the ground, Bryce Rigney rushed for 47 yards.
Southwood has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Adams Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Southwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Adams Central will head out on the road to face off against Madison-Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison-Grant is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
