Portage came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the La Porte Slicers. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Portage was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made La Porte work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-11, 25-13.
Portage's offense was headlined by Ella Klakoski and Ainsley Cline, who picked up five kills apiece. Klakoski really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Among those leading the charge was Shayla Sorg, who had 19 digs and one assist. Danica St Arnaud also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
