Hull was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in South Shore. The Pirates defeated Norwell 13-3 earlier in the week.
Abington extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Mashpee, 34-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Cohasset's Chris Haggerty and Shane Haggerty have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Haggerty has thrown for 506 yards this season, while Haggerty, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 18 catches for 363 yards. The Falcons' Jared Taylor leads the league in rushing yards with 601.
A big matchup in South Shore this week will be when Abington takes on Rockland. As it stands, Jim Kelliher's team is in first, while the Bulldogs are in sixth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Green Wave take on Rockland. Abington has allowed 80 points this season, while Mr. Brian Kelliher's team has given up 91.
East Bridgewater took down Carver 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
