The Forestview Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 62-51 to Huss. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Forestview in their matchups with Huss: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Kamarrian Kendrick was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Huss found their leader in underclassman Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who scored 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Zamarius 'Z-Man' Gladden, who scored nine points along with two steals and two blocks.
Forestview's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Huss, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview will take on Stuart W. Cramer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuart W. Cramer is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Huss, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashbrook presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Huss in North Carolina (Ashbrook is ranked 36th, while Huss is ranked 227th).
