Mantachie is a perfect 5-0 against New Site since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Mantachie will welcome New Site at 1:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Mantachie is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hickory Flat a 20-0 shutout on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Mantachie got a massive performance out of Hayden Estes, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Estes a new career-high. Colton Baxter was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Mantachie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hickory Flat only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, New Site entered their tilt with Walnut on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 10-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Landon Stanley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Trimble, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Rylan Stanley, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Mantachie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. New Site's victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Mantachie was able to grind out a solid win over New Site when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 8-5. Will Mantachie repeat their success, or does New Site has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
