The Marlboro Mustangs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let Hillsborough onto the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marlboro.
Brayden Klein threw for 60 yards and a touchdown. Sam Hirsch was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Matthew Cassidy rushed for 40 yards.
Marlboro's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Hillsborough, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-3.
Marlboro will head out on the road to face off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillsborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
