Vincennes Rivet dropped their record down to 15-6 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Bedford North Lawrence Stars by a score of 7-6. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Stars from their previous meeting back in May of 2016.
Jayden Thacker was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Brody (Bo) Shots made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
