The South Central Satellites lost against the Tri-Township Tigers last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. South Central took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tri-Township.
Despite the loss, South Central still got an impressive performance from Sadie Marks, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 59.5% of South Central's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Gwen Mendenhall was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Tri-Township, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.
South Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against North Judson-San Pierre at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Tri-Township, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Marquette Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Marquette Catholic will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
