Taylor extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-8. They came up short against the Eastern Comets, falling 11-3. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Keaton Wiley put in work no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Wiley wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Dougan, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Dougan's first of the season.
As for Eastern, their record now sits at 10-4. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Like Taylor, Eastern also got a great game from a two-way player: Reid Kretz. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave Kretz a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Bently Hullinger and Colt Snyder did most of the damage at the plate: Hullinger went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Snyder went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Hullinger a new career-high. Kaleb Hurt was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.
Coincidentally, Taylor and Eastern will both be playing Carroll the next time they take the field. The Titans will host the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Comets will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
