The Fillmore Central Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 76-37 victory over Gibbon. Fillmore Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was Luke Kimbrough, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Asche, who scored 11 points.
The win was the sixth in a row for Fillmore Central, bringing their record for this year to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Gibbon, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Fillmore Central will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sandy Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sandy Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Gibbon, they will head out on the road to square off against Centura at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
