With a playoff win on the line, Roosevelt rose to the challenge on Friday. They skirted past the Minarets Mustangs 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Rough Riders, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Iyanna Molano was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Molano was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Molano wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Melaney Ortiz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Minarets, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-3 victory against Bishop Union on the 20th. Minarets does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
