The Severance Silver Knights were the 48-46 winner over the Frederick Golden Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Severance took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frederick on Saturday. Severance has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Frederick got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zoe Wittler out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Pack, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Severance's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Frederick, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Severance will take on Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverdale Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Severance in Colorado (Riverdale Ridge is ranked 18th, while Severance is ranked 113th). As for Frederick, they will be playing at home against Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
