The Traverse City Central Trojans were the 61-30 winner over the Gaylord Blue Devils when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Traverse City Central took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gaylord on Thursday.
Luke Gelow was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 48 points and 16 rebounds for Gaylord. The match was Gelow's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Traverse City Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Gaylord, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Traverse City Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Forest Hills Northern at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
