The Windsor Wizards will head out on the road to face off against the Poudre Impalas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Things were looking good for Windsor after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Rocky Mountain by a score of 5-4. The Wizards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ethan Fillinger put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Windsor got a good showing from Wyatt Gustafson, who didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Gustafson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
Fillinger wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Izaak Haro, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Teegan Cole, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Poudre fell victim to Denver East and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Angels by a score of 2-0. The Impalas' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Poudre also got a good showing from Jake Fontana, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Fontana a new career-low.
Windsor's record now sits at 13-5. As for Poudre, their record is now 8-8.
Windsor's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Wizards have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Poudre, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Windsor continue to outrun the ball?
