While losing is never fun, Crystal City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 911th, while Lytle is ranked 357th).
Meanwhile, Dilley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 17th straight loss. They were outmatched by Cotulla on the road and fell 45-9. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dilley in their matchups with Cotulla: they've now lost six in a row.
Crystal City's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Dilley, they bumped their record down to 2-23 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
