The Field Falcons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Spencerville Adventist Academy 55-39 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Field also won the last time the pair played back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Spencerville Adventist Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is CJ Jenkins. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him.
Field's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Spencerville Adventist Academy, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Field won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Washington International at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Washington International knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Field likes a good challenge. Spencerville Adventist Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Avalon at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Avalon is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
