The Ocosta Wildcats won the last time they faced South Bend, and things went their way on Friday too. Ocosta came out on top against South Bend by a score of 47-39.
Leading Ocosta to victory were Noah Prigmore and Kayden Turner. Prigmore scored 14 points along with nine assists and six rebounds, while Turner scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those nine assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Wyland, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Ocosta's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for South Bend, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocosta won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Toledo at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th. Toledo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ocosta in Washington (Toledo is ranked 113th, while Ocosta is ranked 283rd). As for South Bend, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Naselle at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
