Chaelys Brito Acevedo and LC Collins did most of the damage at the plate: Brito Acevedo fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2, while Collins went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Lexi Montalban spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Nevaeh Fatorma was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Central Falls' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Cranston East, their record is now 6-3.
