In what's become a running theme this season, the Trinity Christian Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Wickenburg Christian Academy 49-28. The score was close at the half, but Trinity Christian pulled away in the second half with 36 points.
Wickenburg Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Evan Gustin, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Gustin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Justen Smith was another key contributor, scoring four points.
The win was the third in a row for Trinity Christian, bringing their record for this year to 15-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.33 points. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will take on Tri City Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estrella at 6:00 p.m. Estrella will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Wickenburg Christian Academy is ranked 78th).
