The Skyline Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Frederick Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Skyline came up short against Thompson Valley and fell 75-63. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Skyline in their matchups with Thompson Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Andy Erives, who scored 21 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Cameren Sanchez was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Frederick didn't have too much trouble with Niwot at home on Tuesday as they won 62-45.
Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Frederick, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Skyline didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Frederick when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 71-65 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyline since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
