After flying high against the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate last Monday, the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls came back down to earth. Sports Leadership & Management fell 55-44 to The Meadows School on Thursday. Sports Leadership & Management was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as The Meadows School apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Sports Leadership & Management's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tavara Swonger, who scored ten points along with five steals. Swonger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dennise Fleming, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Sports Leadership & Management's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for The Meadows School, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Sports Leadership & Management the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Boulder City at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Boulder City is ranked 59th, while Sports Leadership & Management is ranked 70th). The Meadows School's road trip will continue as they head out to face Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
