Madison-Grant's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They blew past Elwood 62-28 at home. The win was just what Madison-Grant needed coming off of a 70-17 loss in their prior contest.
Madison-Grant had a senior duo take command as Katie Stowers scored 22 points along with 3 steals and Maddy Moore scored 11 points along with 8 assists and 3 steals. Jasmyn Rainey was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Eastern's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 30-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwood. Eastern has struggled against Southwood recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Madison-Grant's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Eastern, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
