Football Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Park Hill Trojans, falling 42-20. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at Kayden Fenwick. Despite the final result, he picked up 106 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Drake Gilkison also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Park Hill, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Central will challenge Excelsior Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Park Hill, they will square off against Raymore-Peculiar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
