The Gray's Creek Bears will square off against the Wakefield Wolverines on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Gray's Creek 1.9, Wakefield 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Gray's Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Purnell Swett. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hannah Welsh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Gray's Creek got a massive performance out of August Kebort, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Kebort has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Amariya Green, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Gray's Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Purnell Swett only posted an OBP of .353.
Meanwhile, Wakefield posted their closest victory since April 14th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Enloe.
Aniela Piscorik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Emily Fernandez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Holly Work, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Wakefield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Gray's Creek, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Gray's Creek has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wakefield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
