The Suttons Bay Norsemen will head out on the road to challenge the Brethren Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Suttons Bay is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
Suttons Bay suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-23 loss at the hands of Glen Lake. While losing is never fun, Suttons Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 556th, while Glen Lake is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, Brethren took a serious blow against Morley Stanwood on Thursday, falling 53-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brethren has scored all season.
Suttons Bay bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Brethren, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Suttons Bay took their win against Brethren in their previous matchup back in February of 2021 by a conclusive 55-33. Does Suttons Bay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brethren turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
