The Lassiter Trojans were the 63-50 winner over the Alpharetta Raiders when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Lassiter took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alpharetta. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lassiter came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Alpharetta is ranked 132nd).
Lassiter lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jay Chege, who scored five points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Emmanuelli, who scored 13 points.
Lassiter's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7. As for Alpharetta, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Lassiter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alpharetta also has no future games currently scheduled.
