Tyler LaSalle and Jeremy Cox provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Cimarron. The connection was good for 81 yards, the longest such play in Great West this season.
Scott extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Russell, 55-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Beavers.
Holcomb's dynamic duo of LaSalle and Cox proved tough for the Bluejays to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. LaSalle threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns and Cox had 166 yards receiving. Clay Gilbert helped Holcomb's passing attack out by catching three balls for 51 yards.
Luke Haney made the biggest impact on defense this week as Ulysses defeated Hugoton. The 5-foot-11 defensive end recorded one fumble and racked up four sacks.
Dalton Buehler was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 153 yards on five carries as Scott beat Cimarron. Teammate Tius Price added to the ground attack by rushing for 83 yards.
Holcomb's LaSalle and Cox have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Great West in both passing and receiving yards. LaSalle has thrown for 1498 yards this season, while Cox, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 26 catches for 497 yards. Buehler from Glenn O'Neil's team leads the league in rushing with 1183 yards.
The Beavers took down the Broncos 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Buehler in the win.
