The Columbus Academy Vikings had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Dublin Scioto 60-28 on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Columbus Academy had established a 24 point advantage.
Despite the loss, Dublin Scioto still got an impressive performance from Lyla Magnussen, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Columbus Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Dublin Scioto, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Columbus Academy will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dublin Scioto, they will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Heights is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home.
