The Edison Chargers lost against the Clyde Fliers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Edison was beaten by the Fliers 93-40. Edison has not had much luck with the Fliers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayden Bourget, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Luke Blatnik was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Leading Clyde to victory were Ben Wott and Brayden Olson. Wott went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 7 assists, while Olson shot 5-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wott has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Price Carter, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Edison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Clyde, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.
Edison will face off against the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Clyde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Truckers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Norwalk's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
