Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penn Yan Academy). They blew past the Bloomfield Bombers 74-51 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Penn Yan Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Bloomfield, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Penn Yan Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Palmyra-Macedon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmyra-Macedon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bloomfield, they will take on Red Jacket at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
