While St. Joseph put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Staples. The Cadets blew past the Wreckers 13-0. Considering the Cadets have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Katie Dzialo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, St. Joseph got a massive performance out of Gina Coppola, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Coppola has posted since back in April of 2024. McKenna Stratton was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
St. Joseph kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive games.
