The Amity Regional Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Guilford Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Amity Regional is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Amity Regional proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 15) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Hand.

Amity Regional's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riannie De Jesus Vazquez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. De Jesus Vazquez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Ava Vitiello was another, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Amity Regional hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Guilford was able to grind out a solid win over Hand on Saturday, taking the game 7-2. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Mallory Sedorra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Peton LaMay was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Munson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Amity Regional pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Guilford, their record now sits at 2-3.
Amity Regional came out on top in a nail-biter against Guilford in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
