The Kellogg Wildcats entered their tilt with the Stevensville Yellowjackets with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Kellogg was the clear victor by a 53-33 margin over Stevensville. Considering Kellogg has won three matches by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kellogg had a senior duo take command as Emily Coe dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds and Macy Jerome scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Jerome has scored at least 25% of Kellogg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dani Schillereff, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Kellogg's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Stevensville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kellogg will take on Bonners Ferry at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonners Ferry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Kellogg is ranked 24th). Stevensville will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Polson at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
