The Pass Christian Pirates will be playing at home against the Greene County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Pass Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Moss Point: they outscored them in every quarter. Pass Christian blew past Moss Point 59-34 on Tuesday. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pirates had established a 20 point advantage.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greene County). They breezed by Poplarville to the tune of 64-31 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Pass Christian better keep an eye on Jase Matthews. He was instrumental in Greene County's win, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. That's the most rebounds Matthews has posted since back in December of 2023. Cordarius Molten was another key player, going 8 of 20 on his way to 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Greene County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Greene County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Pass Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Everything came up roses for Pass Christian against Greene County in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 63-26 victory. Will Pass Christian repeat their success, or does Greene County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
