On Friday Varnado take on North Vermilion at 7:00 PM. Varnado come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Varnado took a serious blow against St. Helena College and Career Academy last week, falling 0-39.
Meanwhile, North Vermilion might have drawn first blood against Ascension Episcopal, but it was Ascension Episcopal who got the last laugh. North Vermilion and Ascension Episcopal were almost perfectly matched up, but North Vermilion suffered an agonizing 21-22 loss. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but North Vermilion were outplayed the rest of the way.
