Mount Juliet (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 39-10 victory over
Dickson County (Dickson, Tenn.) on Saturday.
The Golden Bears were up 17-10 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Nolan Chowbay in the second quarter.
Mount Juliet expanded its lead to 26 points entering the fourth quarter. MJ scored three times in the third, including once on a
Austin Chaplin touchdown run.
The Mt. Juliet school's standout player in the win was Chaplin. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
The Cougars' lone touchdown came on a run in the first quarter.
The Golden Bears went into the matchup giving up only 14.0 points per game. Dickson County's 10 points were well below its season average of 31.8 per game. DC came in giving up 14.1 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Dickson County defeated McGavock 42-14 last week.
